Consistently ranked as one of the nation's leading workforce training efforts, Oklahoma’s Training for Industry Program (TIP), a CareerTech initiative, is a no-cost/low-cost way for new or growing companies that create jobs to get a skilled, focused, and motivated workforce. The Training for Existing Industry program is administered locally through Muskogee’s nationally acclaimed facility, Indian Capital Technology Center. The program can be used for upgrade training for your existing workforce when you install new equipment, processes, technology, computerized manufacturing applications and/or training for new product lines. It can also be used for supervisory training. In addition, Indian Capital Technology Center’s Business and Industry Services Team offers customized, industry-specific training to help clients adjust to change and improve quality and productivity. The BIS Center team can develop training programs that can update and upgrade the skills of the existing work force. Through customized planning, basic and advanced training programs can be adapted to develop competencies for maximum productivity. These training sessions can be held at the business site or at their Muskogee campus.

Muskogee is home to four institutions of higher education: the public four-year Northeastern State University, the public two-year Connors State College, the public Indian Capital Technology Center and the private four-year Bacone College, the oldest college of continuous education in the State of Oklahoma.
